Dear Mom-Mom,

We’re loving this warm winter! Today we went exploring on the NCR Trail. Dad said NCR stands for the Northern Central Railroad but there wasn’t a train to be seen, even from high up on his shoulders. The trail is a popular destination for dogs of all kinds. We ran into Fred who was an obvious distant cousin of Mr. Floyd. I played on a big log, and found a stick and lots of inedible rocks.

I heard about a miracle on 34^th street in Hampden, so I went to check it out. The people who live there cover their houses in Christmas lights. I’ve never seen such a bright place. It was stunning.
